Internationally renowned for hosting the Lauberhorn Ski Race, one of the most famous events in the Alpine Ski World Cup, Wengen’s unique charms make it worth the visit at any time of year.
Exclusively accessible from Lauterbrunnen via the Wengernalpbahn cog railway, Wengen is an entirely pedestrian resort town (with the exception of a handful of electric taxis). In other words, it can be explored on skis or on foot, so you can take full advantage of the charm of its typical wooden houses and the amazing views of the surrounding mountains.
